Some Things I’m Looking Forward to Doing After the Birth

  • Bending over and touching my toes.
  • Eating something and not having indigestion.
  • Being able to go into my closet and wear something that doesn’t need to accommodate a huge tummy.
  • Being able to walk up 4 flights of stairs without losing my breath.
  • Not having to pee all the time.
  • Not being stressed about being a ticking time bomb about to explode.
  • Not having someone constantly kicking me from the inside.

Comments....

  • I hate to uh, burst your bubble, but the tummy
does not go away immediately.  Even with nursing it took 10 or 15 days for things to shrink down enough to ditch the maternity pants.

    I’m just sayin’.

Amen to being able to bend over, climb stairs, and not having to pee all the time.  Also being able to put your pants on while balancing on one foot instead of having to sit down, not always almost knocking the table over when you rise to get up out of your chair after a meal, and being able to have a glass of wine or a nice serving of sushi without guilt or disapproving glances.  And most of all, not having pregnancy brain anymore.

    • Yeah but eventually it will go away! At least the hard writhing, kicky part will be gone!

        • I think I’m going to copy and paste this in my blog and retitle it “Things I Shouldn’t Have In Common With A Pregnant Lady, But Do.”
