back from clinic

Another stress test, ultra-sound and check down below. What fun.

The kid is good and I’m good - but not even my doctor is game enough to predict when he going to appear.

Could be in the next few hours, could be in a week.

Also neither he or the nurse had ever heard that eating spicy food is supposed to help things along. He thinks it might just help me on the way to getting the runs…..

    • So, we have evidence that old wives tales are regional smile

Seriously though, having the runs is not just a matter of in one end, out the other - generally when one gets the runs, one’s belly is in spasm, which is pretty much exactly what contractions are - muscle spasms! So, perhaps one type of muscle spasm in the abdominal cavity might just induce another type of muscle spasm in the abdominal cavity?
I dunno, while I have an education in anatomy/physiology, in my field, they pretty much skim over what’s occurring in the belly, especially the reproductive stuff.

I am NOT recommending using indigestion, food poisoning, etc as a method of inducement.
